Spirit Dog Ranch, LLC provides full-care horse boarding for people who want to trail ride and just relax while spending time with their horse and enjoying the company of others who do to. Below is a list of services included with the basic $300 monthly board fee:
- Large 16x25' pipe corrals with partial shade covers and automatic waterers.
- Feed and clean twice daily
- Mineralized salt blocks
- Choice of alfalfa or alfalfa/bermuda grass combination
- Owner-provided and bagged supplements fed nightly
- Each horse turned out in private turnouts one hour daily Monday through Thursday
- Private locking tack compartments for each horse
- Multiple hitching posts and washracks for boarder convenience
- Two round pens and an arena
- Ramada to relax in before/after riding, with refrigerator for storing refreshments
The Ranch has a small store with typical horse supplies -- wormer, psyllium, fly masks, fly sprays, shampoos and grooming tools as well as wound care and tack for the convenience of our boarders.
Additional Options:
- For a slight additional charge SDR will provide and feed either Purina Equine Senior or Purina Enrich32 daily, or psyllium the first seven days of the month for people who do not want to have to remember to purchase and pre-bag these feeds. Psyllium program: $10.month, Enrich32, $20/month, Purina Senior, $12.50/month for each pound fed daily (i.e., 2# per day = $25.00/month.
- Horse trailer storage free (providing space is available)
- Pasture turnout of your horse one hour Monday through Thursday instead of dry-lot turnout $50/month.
- Short-term boarding for people on vacation or needing a lay-up location for their horse-$15/night.
Typical Horse Corrals
New! We are now offering the following additional services!
1) Retirement and rehabilitation layup which includes group turnout (4 to 6 horses) shelter, twice daily feeding, several hours per day on pasture. You can come visit your retired or recovering friend without making an appointment.
2) Mare/foal care -- Let your new foal grow up and learn to be a horse with the freedom to move around in a combination of turnout and pasture turnout.
3) Partial pasture board for those people who want their riding horse to be on full-time turnout. Small groups of 4 - 6 compatible horses with shelter, feeding twice daily, and several hours per day on pasture.
